Finger jointed boards are long tapered fingers that interlock to join two pieces lengthwise as in commercial moulding or side by side in panels. It can be used to make joinery material, beams, table tops, parquet flooring, Cabinet shutters, Wardrobe panels, Stave panels and Staircase panels.
The finger-jointing technique used for production of the high quality edge glued panels provides the same strength properties as any solid wood with the added benefit of dimensional stability. The result is a product that will stay straight even under the toughest climatic conditions. Three or more glued joints make each piece of quality panels resistant to wrap and twist. The special finger profile, bonded with adhesive, provides maximum strength at the joint.
